    Grieve. Feel it. That’s love. It hurts and it’s heavy, but that’s just the cost of them moving from a physical reality to one of memory and emotion. Don’t shut it out - mitigate it if you have to, bit by bit. But grief, to me, has never been about those you love leaving, that’s just them knocking at your heart’s door, asking to be let in.

    The Vet initially thought she had been hit by a car. She was covered in bruises and coughing up blood. After finding out she was an inside cat they deduced that she probably chewed on a wire and was electrocuted.

    I’m so sorry, that’s heartbreaking. Cats are experts at getting into and doing things they shouldn’t, even when you take steps to keep them safe. Remember that she spent her time with you loved.
