Nah, I would see it like another commented, plan A is taking over as a full dictator, but failing that he would likely try and run to avoid any punishment.
He’s safest in the US, SCOTUS is already bought and paid for.
He might look it, but not feel it. There’s a LOT of eyes looking at the big chair and saying “wow Trump is doing a shitty job, I could easily do better if only he’d move out of the way.”
If that’s the case, I say he can have the money and GTFO.
