I believe it’s a safe assumption that fediverse users want to move away from the monopolies and closed gardens so often associated with video streaming, and yet it’s not a task that’s ever been made easy. Maybe an ounce of inspiration is the cue we need, and so my question to you is; What’s Stopping you from using PeerTube?
it’s all right wing trash because they exclude left wing content via demonization – you should expect anything besides it from corporate platforms since right wing content is pro-profit content.
I get a ton of left wing stuff recommended in my feed and no right wing trash. As much as the algorithm has degraded, it can learn things like this from what you watch and like.

That just simply isn’t true. My feed is like 50% left-wing content, the rest isn’t political at all.

Sure, but I get content from anarchists and communists. YouTube recently recommended Luna oi!, is that right wing trash?
you’re lucky, my youtube recommedations are only a few videos – so few that i made another account just for stuff to watch when i get bored.
I’m not interested in political stuff at all. Still, I get a lot of shit from the old colonies south of Canada for some reason.
I do like science but then half the recommendations are about space aliens and religion.
