To be fair, I think their other production facilities (Italy and Japan) aren’t much cheaper, so part of the cost is justified.

“substandard material” is basically the “how much you’re willing to pay them” problem.
The other two…well we’re making weapon for killing, human right abuse and environmental cost is never really considered in warfare.
On the other hand, keep the production in-house, and spend millions on bolts because of widespread
