Hegemony isn’t forced, it’s earned. It comes about via soft power, which is something the current administration doesn’t understand at all. Hence why the US has lost standing, respect and ultimately potential earnings over the last 10 years. They act like colonisers, with a power structure based on fear but that only works if you’re actually.good at war and have the tactical agility to change how you infiltrate an enemy, real or imagined to perpetuate the “fear culture” that the US mindset thrives on. Unfortunately for the US, they keep showing that it’s not and hence hegemony has been destroyed. The US empire has been quite pathetic in terms of longevity.

I think I’ll take this as proof that it’s a structured and intentional attack against the proletariat, rather than just an unfortunate outcome of the “get everyone addicted” incentives of capitalism.
