    And none of his followers think anything about the potential annihilation of a whole country. Truly despicable. At least they’ll keep each other company in Hell.

      I remember when i was a kid my mom would say shit like “we wouldn’t be in a war if we just bombed the shit out of them til there was nothing left.” They dont see the people living in the middle east as people, they didnt 15 years ago and they dont now. there is zero empathy and its disgusting

        It’s just the natural continuation of a mentality that allowed “people” to come to a different land, rape and murder everyone in sight, settle in the graveyard they filled themselves, and still call themselves people, supported by God even. Nothing new, but the fact it’s been over 200 years and it’s still prevalent enough that Trump, the figurehead of Western imperialism and white supremacy, has over 30% approval rate, makes it all very sad. But John Brown existed, so I keep my hopes up that one day, God willing, humanity and the desire for peaceful coexistence will settle in the heart of “radical” Westerners.

        It is! But how I feel about it doesn’t make it any more or less true. And likewise, I try to behave in ways to avoid the same ending, even if it means less hedonistic enjoyment and material comfort.
