Having met an ex-SAS guy a long time ago who was proud to have worked after as “private security” abroad in various African countries during civil wars…
I assume they’re all like this
sample size of 1
typical lemming mathematics
Given the article we’re at an absolute minimum size of 3, and there’s probably more than two doing this
Any evidence to the contrary?
The SAS have been involved in some pretty shitty things over the decades, I find it wholly unsurprising that more than just the guy I met become morality-devoid mercenaries after the job.
If anyone tells you they were SAS, no they weren’t.
Veterans as in “in receipt of an army pension” veterans? Because that seems like a way to begin to deal with the issue.
Why would Russia use SAS veterans to train their troops? Russia has its own special forces, Spetsnaz. Spetsnaz would be more familiar with Russian weapons, tactics, and the type of war in Ukraine.
My guess would be that the more instructors you have the more troops you can properly train. It’s not enough to have couple of Spetznaz guys to train an army. You need a lot of them but you also need them actually fighting on the front.
And what about Steven Segal?
Because the backflipping axe-throw technique has surprisingly few applications on the modern battlefield.
Hehe, remembering the joys of Deadliest Warrior now. No clips found on youtube, but that spetsnaz dude doing all the tactical dodging and faffing about while shooting still gets to me. Especially when the US army guy responds that its just more efficient to raise your gun and shoot first. lol
I suspect the Spetznaz have either been found not as capable as once thought, or largely used up as a resource already
Their trainers were sent in and are dead.
Because they’re all dead from being deployed to the front
Traitors. Hope the situation is handled appropriately if they return.
It’s in Bulgaria, which is EU. Why wait until they return? Arrest them all, especially the Russians.
I don’t know how the laws work for EU members but figured their home countries would be the ones most interested in what their citizens are doing. They can definitely keep the Russians stashed away somewhere and save Ukraine a handful of drones though.
Making Bulgaria a valid drone target.
Fucking morons
I hope the training involves lying down and waiting for the drone to explode.
So… No more Spetznaz? Any where is Steven Segal? Also, are these the guys who voted for Brexit? And why Bulgaria? Is Russia not big enough? I have so many questions!
I suspect that travelling to Russia would have been more likely to get flagged by their government than travelling to the EU would.
Brits being brits
