I have friends from Iran living in the USA and they were really excited for their family back home to finally be free. Now, they are a bit disappointed that it’s not happening

The USA got it’s freedom from Britain hundreds of years ago. The world has changed a lot since then. It’s also one thing to get help from a country when requested or they a offer and it’s accepted, vs blowing up a country and claiming it’s providing them freedom. It’s not an apples to apples comparison.
