Too corrupt for FIFA. He should get a FIFA prize for that. Quite the achievement.
Oh no… I hope this doesn’t jeopardize the annual FIFA Peace Prize that was totally going to happen next year and wasn’t just some one-off openly corrupt bullshit meant to stroke the ego of a senile narcissist.
If I was taking over FIFA today and trying to fix its status as being perhaps the most famous example of corruption in the world today, I would actually give out the phoney baloney peace prize a few more times before stopping.
That way, you wouldn’t have the only recipient ever be one who started many wars the next year. And you could say that you plan on giving out five or ten more prizes to try to atone for giant “mistake” with the first one.
I’d retroactively take the other one back, make a big deal about how trump is one of the least peaceful people, then not give it out again.
Having a fake award that was only made only to stroke your ego, removed very publicly, has to suck a lot more than receiving it in the first place.
If you’re taking it back, you know what would be amazing? Take back the one Trump got and give it to somebody else.
Give it to Obama, lol. Not that he deserves it, but it would be the ultimate middle finger.
Or AOC, or Bernie LOL.
Give it to him five years straight. Lol. Even if he doesn’t ever come to collect. Just keep announcing it on stage.
And give it to random people, not anyone note worthy. Like, team up with McDonalds to run a competition to win a FIFA peace prize or something.
Buy a Big Mac Meal and you qualify to enter the draw for your own FIFA Peace Prize.
Given how much McDonald’s Trump eats, odds are he’d still win it under those rules.
It’d be like that rich kid who’s daddy owned the factory in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…but with Big Macs.
Except he’d be doing it with tax dollars.
But where will they find someone else with a head shaped like a football

I’m sure Stewie Griffin would be both available, and less corrupt than the last few leaders of FIFA
Different football shape, though
good - better late than never
Yup, he should’ve been shown the door back when he suggested getting Russians back into tournaments.
What a surprise that this clown would so many more fuck-ups afterwards. 🗿
No, he should be investigated, arrested and then be put in prison. By allowing these corrupt people to just resign you are setting yourself up for failure in the future. We have to hold these people accountable because otherwise there will be others who will pick up this mantle and try this again.
America is a perfect example.
You know it’s bad when you are looking back at the Sepp Blatter era with a bit of nostalgia. Blatter was awful. But somehow they found an even worse replacement.
But the U.S. will immediately declare war on football, invade Switzerland, and rename the sport “soccer” once and for all…
The cheese will end up tasting bland and insipid, too…
/s, of course—fuck that orange pedo and his despicable minions anyway.
We didn’t name it soccer. That was the brits. Soccer just stuck over here.
Only because you already had that other sport where you thrown around the large egg.
As I understand it, it was because they had multiple leagues of various types of football, and they were trying to differentiate soccer from the other leagues.
It was “association football” as opposed to “rugby football”.
And the American sport whose full name is “gridiron football”. And the Irish sport whose full name is “gaelic football”. And the Australian sport known as “Aussie rules football”. And the Irish-Australian sport known as “compromise rules football”. And…
Why don’t they just vote to oust him?
Because all the voting members have equal votes. So the tiny banana republic nations for whom the proposed $30m payment represents a significant amount of their GDP get the same vote as England, for which it represents only half of the FA’s annual profit.
UEFA members have 55 votes out of 211. Assuming all members toe the line, they can easily call a vote of no confidence (requires 20%) but to win the vote they need 106 votes. Earlier this month 200 associations had formally backed Infantino to run for his final term next spring.
There’s many insignificant football countries that have a vote, but that are corrupt af, those all vote for him.
The European countries don’t have the vote required to oust him, but they account for the most significant football nations. They might have found their collective bargaining power as if they leave fifa is nothing.
The swing vote is conmebol, South America has all the non-european teams people want to see, they are pretty corrupt but not FIFA levels of corrupt and if they piss off the fans too much, they’re in trouble.
