To describe what I mean.

  1. Wake up in the morning
  2. Don’t need to use the bathroom all that much
  3. Eat breakfast
  4. Suddenly bathroom is #1 priority

Does anyone else experience something similar to the above? I always considered it to be a way to make way for a new meal.

Your digestion is pretty much on pause first thing, but after some breakfast, a little time and (most especially) that first cup of coffee, things are moving again.

This is very common and anyone who has worked in an office will know that 10AM is prime shitting time. It’s basically the porcelain rush hour.

Seems normal to me. At some variable time after I get up, I need to poop. I feel like coffee or eating, even drinking water, can encourage it, but even without those, it happens. If I try to repress it, like if i’m still working on making coffee and want to finish, it can become quite urgent.

Do you have coffee as part of your breakfast? It is known to cause bowl movements. I usually don’t eat anything in the morning, but 5mins after my first coffee is finished, it’s potty time.

Depends on how urgent it is. To some extent, it’s entirely normal, since eating tends to have that effect.

Ask anyone with babies what happens after every breakfast.
