It still means 1 in 4 people you see on the street is dangerously misinformed. Or, just as bad, simply does not know what it would actually mean, but still decided to vote on the topic.
Keep in mind this was a non binding vote to have a binding vote on the issue later on. According to the polls the number of people who said they’d vote yes to hold the binding but would vote no in the actual vote if it was held was quite large. Then there’s the fact that we can be certain almost all the seperatists voted since this realistically is the only chance to get what they want and consider that only a third of eligible voters voted. Them only getting 25% under those conditions means their actual support is vanishingly small.
This is why it’s up to everyone to vote. If you refrain from voting, thinking that your outcome is guaranteed, you’re essentially letting an opposing vote count for two.
A lot more than a third of eligible voters came out to vote. Not all the polls have even been unofficially counted yet and we’re at nearly 1.9 million of the 2.9 million eligible voters.
They are not misinformed, stop saying that, my aunt said Canada deserves to be invaided by America for its globalist persuits, plenty of spiteful dumb fucks think like this, they are Not misinformed.
TX thinks they’re special enough to have their own private power grig largely disconnected from the rest of the USA managed by the folks at https://www.ercot.com/
Guess which state it is we see massive outages across whenever there’s a slight dip in the winter temps or the least bit of snow?
It wasn’t even close
Yeah 75% is a fucking hell no

Yeah, I can see the logic of voting yes in “maybe if we have an actual vote the separatists will actually shut up”

1 in 4 that voted. About a 3rd of Albertans gave a shit one way or another to actually go vote.

Also, this is a vote to have a vote to leave, so what we’re seeing with is the ceiling, you’d expect more for a stay vote if it actually came to that.

1 in 4 women are sexually abused as a child, usually by a close family member. Coincidence? I dont think so
I don’t see how it could be. There’s no way Alberta could be self sufficient in the global economy.
You can’t reason a person out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into
Beautiful. Why haven’t I heard this one before? Standard repertoire from now on!
Because you’re one of today’s lucky 10,000!
Thank you for thinking of posting this, it’s as apt as the original post.
Enjoy
Yeah, but there aren’t enough idiots anywhere to actually do something like that.
Press x to doubt.
If there were, Quebec would have done it years ago.
Or, to go to a different country, Texas would have ceded from the US.

I was about to ask “and what good has that done them?” before I got to your second paragraph.
Thankfully not
They tell themselves they support all of Canada, just like Quebec does.
Quebec hasn’t successfully left Canada either
only because France said they didnt want them
1 in 4 are representing US interests in Canada. That’s way too high.
