I’m not sure why this is newsworthy. I guess as a small side note on a American newspaper, sure. But I don’t see why the biggest TV channel in Finland decided to include this in their main news broadcast yesterday. Its literally “man takes precautions” level news story. Might as well report on him waking up in the morning, something completely normal and expected.
because it shows that you’re not winning and there’s a confidence issue at play. If you had the most powerful military in the world, the most powerful and sophisticated intelligence network, why would you hide yourself for fear of attack by Iran? that’s not winning, that’s losing. That’s also putting on display that you lack confidence in your own military and intelligence networks. i.e. well maybe now they’re not the most powerful and sophisticated networks in the world anymore, or the leader of said networks no longer trusts them.
So while hiding in a food truck is amusing it does show that there’s a much bigger issue at play here. It clearly shows to the world that A. the US is weak and B. it’s leader doesn’t trust his own military/CIA/whatever to keep him safe. this is dictator level of lack of trust within a crumbling empire.

Mr Tough Guy Trump, who spouts off on social media all day about how Iran is destroyed and how he’s going to wipe them out. Got a threat that his opponents might strike back at him on his billion dollar flying fortress.
So his security detail, rather than do anything subtle and move him without his opponents knowing, had him walk onto the flying fortress, then hide in a fucking food truck and take him somewhere else. THEN to try and make sure that people think he’s not a fucking pussy, he was snuck BACK into the fortress to walk off it like nothing had happened.
And after all that, they were so fucking shit at this, that everyone found out anyway.
It would be hilarious to have a white and gold catering truck waiting when Trump does his next state visit.

I just think it should be at best a US local news thing, not a world or my tiny countrys TV station network main news cast story lol. Like, everyone knows trump fucked up with the whole Iran thing, no need to tell me about a minor inconvenience the orange lard ass had to suffer because of his own stupid actions.
The world wants to see this man put in harms way.
The world would like to see him erased from existence.

I understand your point and meaning, but at this point, trump’s downfall is world news, and everyone is interested, because the world hates this man more than anything since Hitler rose to power.
I don’t want him erased.
I want him to live a long life behind bars, with all his remaining mental faculties focused on the world celebrating as they attempt to undo this immense pile of bullshit he and his enablers are leaving us.
I want the world to remember his name in the same way as the US remembers Benedict Arnold, applying to his name the unmistakably worst traits a human being can possess.
And when he and we are long dead I hope his name continues to inspire revulsion and a warning to future generations to not get suckered into letting Nazis into the bar.
