FIFA is not untouchable. It is a corrupt, and incorigble institution that deserves to be disbanded and replaced by something better. Europe should rip the bandaid and leave. What good does FIFA do anyway aside from arranging the world cup and some interegional matches? Less talk and more action.

Former FIFA President Josep Blatter also wrote on X that the “close relationship” between Infantino and the US President Donald Trump “has reached a financial dimension that is deeply damaging football.”

look, Infantino even managed to beat Blatter at the corruption game. Impressive.

while European countries are reportedly weighing a boycott.

Most of then don’t have the balls to boycott Eurovision, I seriously doubt they will boycott World Cup.

Why not start a new ⚽ organization. ?

    I mean. Why not?

FIFA is too corrupt. Just forget about them. Someone else should make a new one.

They are all corrupt. Why do you think IOC keep organizing the Olympics in countries like China and Russia? Football is corrupt from the very bottom to the very top. Anything you will build will end up like FIFA.

It’s all words until they pull out of the next World Cup. If they didn’t boycott Russia, Qatar, USA and no word on the Saudi World Cup, then they are not going to do anything now. It’s all greed and corruption all the way through.

    ‘Our game’ lmfao

Nobody owns football. Marketeers and corrupt leaders just pretend they do and for almost a century now, everyone sort of agreed they did, just like the EU has for decades now.

Like, NOW you push back on the most blatantly corrupt organization? Now? Bit late don’t you think.

It depends upon how you interpret ‘our’ as it’s pretty vague. It means ‘belonging to us’ but I think that ‘us’ literally means everyone in the world except FIFA in this context.

I imagine FIFA would take the Nintendo route in the future: every team, including childrens football, would have to pay a fee.

It’s simply not possible to do that. It’s not Monopoly where a single entity owns the rights to it. People can just create a new game body or even play without one.

People will flock to the circus because people are stupid. Here we are, helping usher in the surveillance state using “sports” as the guise while people get kickbacks in the millions to do it.

Its not your team, it never was.

Love football? Quit participating in the marketed version.

yes, please. Teach a larger percentage of the population the dangers of capitalism. we’re already close to a majority for socialism, this will easily push us over the hill. Golden age ahead.
