The study, The Bright Side of Life: Optimism and Risk of Dementia, found that higher levels of optimism were linked with a decreased risk of dementia.

So, what have you been optimistic or grateful about recently?
I’m optimistic about seeing the fall of the dread empire in my lifetime.

Person has to have dementia to be optimistic.
Is it correlation or causation? I ask because I’ve seen other evidence which seems to indicate that depression is an early indicator or mental deterioration.
