    It’s not possible for them to acknowledge it because that would be too much like Trump criticizing Russia, and he isn’t allowed to do that.

        True in general (see the India sanctions debacle), but why in this specific case? This war is giving Russia tons of extra oil revenue to fuel their war machine.

          For Russia it’s a win-win situation. Oil revenues go up and their enemy is busy in a potential forever war with Iran, wasting its stockpile

    It is no surprise that Russia is helping Iran. Russia will not allow the US to control Iran and its oil production like it’s doing with Venezuela. Control of Iran’s oil would enable the US to manipulate the price of oil which would affect Russia. The fear of Europe should be that Trump will betray Ukraine in exchange for Putin betraying Iran.

    This is how these proxy wars have happened for many decades now. The USA and Russia never have a direct conflict, once is doing the invading while the other is aiding the attacked nation.
