People keep making comments like this.

But they kind of just ignore that our country is the equivalent of 50 Spains.

Very easy to say “just make change, bro”. But even the EU, which doesn’t have 50 members, can’t agree on much.

Beyond sick of the we are so big change is impossible bullshit.

      (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Spain is 50 times the size of somewhere else.

The EU is a lot of different countries. America is a country. A country full of people looking for excuses. Dealt the easiest life in the world and still looking to complain.

Your logic is far too simplistic. All I can say is you don’t understand what you’re talking about.

Sure. Americans got three direct votes for a rapist and elected him twice. But sure its purely down to the unwieldly size of the country that causes these issues and not lazy needy moaners with inflated egos.

Why would I see the world when I can go to a different state, basically another country energy.

America also simply isn’t a parliamentary government and federal general elections can’t be called on a whim.

That said, we absolutely should have a Constitutional requirement for recall elections in all offices.

country is the equivalent of 50 spains

I get the sentiment but the disparity isn’t that big. Population wise the US is ~7 times bigger. Spain also has 17 provinces and 2 of them: Catalonia and basque country, have pretty significant separatist movements, and they had a civil war more recently then the US, so it isn’t exactly that much more unified then the US. They also have a similarly sized congress, so wrangling votes is just as hard.

I think it’s more because of their political culture and constitution rather then their size.

No no no you dont understand. Americans cant be expected to improve their own situation, you have to listen to why nothing that works anywhere would work there instead.
