If we designate them as a war crimes nation and make funding them toxic and illegal, the problem will just take care of itself. The money and support is how they exist at all. I’d be massively against allowing war criminals into the US as refugees.

You’re just recommending the same course of actions that the US North took against the Confederacy. And we see how well that worked out for stomping out their noxious belief today.
If you just board up the building bigots spewed out hate from without stopping the people with bad thoughts from propagating them, then they’ll set up shop somewhere else. You have to dig them up by the roots.
But killing people for “bad thoughts” isn’t a great road to start walking down. So we arrive back at my original comment.
