There are multiple groups in control of different parts of Yemen. The single biggest group are the Ansarallah, but previously the many other groups had an understanding to band together and balance them out. When the Epsteinis attacked Iran, they (particularly Saudi Arabia) broke this understanding and got their puppets to backstab the other smaller groups. This gave Ansarallah the perfect chance to ally with the smaller groups and drive the Saudi puppets out of Yemen.

I recently learned that opposition to tyranny is like an ideological requirement to become a leader in Ansar Allah / Houthis. Apparently they “believe that opposing tyranny is a moral obligation rooted in their Zaydi political theology, which emphasizes that legitimate authority must be visible and earned through action. This principle encourages uprisings against rulers deemed unjust, framing resistance not as rebellion but as a fulfillment of rightful leadership.” PS: Some links 1 2 3

It’s still a question what they think about justice in regards to gender equality and the like, but throughout that whole Hasan Piker / Houthi love affair I failed to learn about this.
