Direct sunlight perhaps? Anyway, the sonoff sensors I’ve bought some weeks ago are great, very recommended and work great in my home assistant setup.
This is an old z-wave 6 in 1 sensor that was brought out of retirement when we spun up home assistant again.
It spikes even when not in direct sunlight, so I think it may just be past its prime. We’ve got plenty of others integrated, and a weather station in the back yard, so this one was more just a case of using a sensor we had laying around then needing to use it.
Oof, I’ve made a big detour around z-wave. Not necessarily because it’s bad, I just don’t use anything where it would make sense. ZigBee/Thread for me.
Yeah, there’s not much point in spending money on z-wave today, but we had some old devices laying around, so we put them to use! :)
