It’s not “erasure” it’s genocide and former diplomats are just as fucking responsible as current ones.

This is what the UK and France should propose to end the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Egypt will be given the West Bank enlarged by land equivalent to the Gaza Strip. In return, Israel will be given the Gaza Strip and land at least 3 times larger than the West Bank in the Sinai Peninsula. Some of the land will be adjacent to water so Israel can build desalination plants. The Sinai is inhospitable, and Egypt doesn’t have the technology to develop it, but Israel does. With its new land, Egypt can give it to the Palestinians, make it a state within Egypt, or whatever it wants.

I dont think the egypts are friendly with palestine. Didn’t they close the borders? I doubt they want to be a babysitter of all this. Ultimately palestine/islam brotherhood will call for independant state even when getting land in egypt.

Also relocating an ethnic by force is within the definition of genocide. However i think palestineans/muslims also want to ultimately ‘have’ israel with all its historic religious stuff. So somehow we have two groups of people wanting to get the other out…

See lebanon with hezbolla. It will be a similar development.

If Israel displaces Palestinians, some will move to Egypt. The West Bank would be part of Egypt. The Palestinians might want their own country, but I don’t think Egypt would allow it. Egypt probably would allow a Palestinian state within Egypt.

The only Palestinians that would be leaving are those in Gaza. I think they would be happy to move to equivalent land adjacent to the West Bank.
