It’s no worker’s utopia, sure, but it’s no hellscape either. They certainly seem to have outlasted the Soviet Union and are doing relatively well, given the circumstances.
Socialism and Dictatorship are mutually exclusive. Cuba is being blockaded because they’ve frequently been used as a forward base for military actions by Russia and China against the USA and other nations.
