What a weird and suggestive way to say that. If I was trying to bait people into calling me anti-semitic, that would be a perfect idea to accomplish that.

I honestly don’t know anyone more anti-semitic than Israelis. You may think they’re Jewish, but I tend to think they just use Jewish people as human shields.

You have no idea how true your statement is, if we go back to early zionism they had an opposition movement, the Bund, the bund was a jewish labour movement about jewish pride and culture, and most importantly, that jews belong wherever they are, we were made in the diaspora and we belong where we are.

In contrast the Zionism was extremely antisemitic, only the Hetzel and his buddies were good jews, integrated enough to be “Civilized” while still jewish, bellow them there were Coffehaus jews who were more integrated, and bellow them the OstJews the primitive poor jews (Fiddler on the roof). They hated them, and hope that they will be civilized, and those where only Ashkenazim, other jews barely count because they were of inferior races and primitive “barbarian” cultures.

And when nazis arrived, they struggled with boycotts and sanctions, and zionists made a deal with Hitler, to self ethnically cleanse themselves and pay tariffs and help finance Nazi Germany in the process (Haavara agreement). This also hurt international boycotts, because why Boycott nazis for antisemitism if jews are not following the boycotts.

not sure how much support they gave them, and I wonder if it wasn’t for that support the Nazi state would have collapsed before the Holocaust. but the end result was the survival of Nazi Germany, and the Holocaust, which genocided the jews that stayed and the Bund movement.

Are Jews protesting in masses, not voting extreme right and condemning Israel government?

Well, over 70% of Israel is Jewish and I don’t think it is the remainder going to war against majority Muslim countries. So it seems to involve a pretty big portion.

nope. separation of the classes is the first step to realizing you are being propagandized. nazi netanyahoo is not jewish, even if he says he is. he’s a zionist and a capitalist.

a faith is not doing this genocide. zionists are.

I’m not saying all Jews are doing genocide at all. Just that saying “Jews have nothing to do with this” is absolutely categorical nonsense. Zionism is inextricably linked to Judaism. Not necessarily the other way around.

Thinking Zionism is linked to Judaism is just knowing what the word means.

zionism was created by capitalists, some of whom happened to be Jewish. the whole point is that it muddies the waters on “who to hate” on purpose, because we should be hating the capitalists.

the problem is not Jews. and i know you’re not saying “all jews” - but when people say things like “the jews want to die”, ignoring the obvious stupidity of that, they miss an opportunity to put the focus on the real group causing this world to implode: zionists and capitalists.

hey. just wanted to say thank you. i enjoy “debates” as much as they can be called “debates” on threads like this and wish there was a debate team like community. could prob start one! though i never was on any formal debate teams I think it would be cool to have a monthly thread, teams created, two weeks of “research time” and then a curated discussion thread. hrm. anyway all that adhd ramble to say i appreciated your reply.

Besides the obvious issue of conflating religion with politics…

They just had pretty large protests across Israel:

      https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/article-891473

You have to remember that with “birthright” citizenship, there is a constant stream of new voters who not only aren’t tired of war, they have a personal financial motivation to increase Israel’s borders; they are the “settlers” who steal land rather than buy it.

Loads of Jewish Israelis who have had to serve in the IDF for generations want peace, and have been against Bibi since before he first took office.
