But then we’ll go on and say stuff like “taxpayer money”, “how are we gonna pay for that”, or “our grandkids are gonna have to pay back the national debt”. The pursuit of a “balanced budget” is one of the most successful bits of propaganda ever.

At some level, everyone knows this.
