In a victory for Canada. The last thing Canada needs is a second separatist movement for Trump to use to weaken Canada and start taking pieces of it.
Ideally those “independent thinkers” will take matters into their own hands and emigrate.
It would be just like the people who left California for Texas only to realize that taxes pay for services that make their cost of living less. These people would move somewhere in the South and suddenly be shocked when they get hit with a huge emergency room bill.

Ultimately, conservatives live with symbols. They are trapped in “GOVERNMENT TOO BIG AFFECTS MY FREEDUMB” and can’t consider the economics of it. If they separated from Canada, they would instantly become the third world and poverty would be the name of the game except for those few, rich oil folks.
