From the POV of a communist I’m sure there’s a lot more in chinese communism to critique than just the authoritarianism. Like the existence of a billionaire class, private ownership of means of production, lack of independent labor unions, pretty high income inequality, market economy, and pretty western-looking consumerism. I mean it’s pretty much like USA if USA only had one political party.
Communism sucks but even that would be better than Putin.

Conservative is fine. Being Putin’s lapdog is not.
Trump will be kicked out, I’m 95% sure of that. But Americans will have to rethink the role and authority of the president quite soon after that. And I mean limiting it.

I’ve heard this angle before, but these parties don’t seem to be in any way identical.
In the back of my head, I’m slightly worried when a European country has a party that has more than 50% of the seats. We’re supposed to not be two-party systems.
But on every other part of my head, this feels great. Good stuff, hungarians! I wish I had free money to invest into Hungary. Seems like a safe bet right now.
Spain had actual fascists in power as far as in 1975. So kinda like how most eastern bloc countries fucking hate communism and thus many forms of socialism too, I guess many spaniards still personally hate fascism.

I should build an autoinvesting bot that takes lemmy comments as input and does the exact opposite of the sentiments of those comments. There’s gonna be some broken clock moments here and there for sure, but overall it might be pretty good.
