The last Windows machine in my house is because of one program: Embrilliance. It’s embroidery software that lets you make designs and send them directly to the embroidery machine. It technically works in WINE, but for some reason one of the cursors is missing, so when you try to draw freehand, you have no idea where the mouse is. Was thinking about trying Winboat for this eventually, but I haven’t gotten around to it.
I worked in a warehouse, they’re mostly just storage locations.

Since I’m doing all the admin stuff anyways, I went with EndeavourOS. Arch, but on easy mode. I’ve even got my sister in the habit of updating regularly!

An open source license could solve this. If they sell out, just fork it and pick up where they left off.

Some stuff needs a restart to use the new libraries and such when those things are already in use, since it doesn’t actually delete those until they stop being used. For example, if you get a new kernel, it won’t just delete your old one until you’re done using it. Terminal tools usually assume that you know this, so they won’t prompt you.
