Good background, thanks. Ya, catch 22 is a good way to put it… It makes it tough for other countries to recognize both PRC and ROC without offending PRC.

The People’s Republic of China and the Republic of China are two different governments that both claim sovereignty over mainland China and Taiwan.
They both want to unite China, but only one of them is in the position to do it.
Internal to Taiwan, there are parties that support reunification and support independence (opposing views), but Taiwan has not yet reneged on its claim of mainland China.

It’s not a neighbouring country, it’s the same country. Ask Taiwan.

Or, more likely, Russia supports China’s annexation of Taiwan and China supports Russia’s annexation of Ukraine.

Any nation that wants to keep their sovereignty needs nukes. Agreements like the Budapest Memorandum were a mistake for some of the countries involved (Ukraine).

Last time I played it, about ten years ago, I just ripped through it like it was nothing. I was about 30 then, so it’s not that impressive.
But I remember playing for the first time and throughout my entire childhood when you include the sequels. It was such a fun game. The Christmas we got it, my uncle got to Springyard zone on the first try (me and my brother could barely make it past Green Hill) and I remember being so excited to get as far as he did and then even farther.
Edit: Oh yeah, I think Star Light zone has the best music ever.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postmodernism
Postmodernism encompasses a variety of artistic, cultural, and philosophical movements. It emerged in the mid-20th century as a skeptical response to modernism, emphasizing the instability of meaning, rejection of universal truths, and critique of grand narratives. While its definition varies across disciplines, it commonly involves skepticism toward established norms, blending of styles, and attention to the socially constructed nature of knowledge and reality.

Makes me think that there was a reason that he didn’t try to get a death certificate.

I like mine loaded with butter and just a touch of salt and pepper.

I do agree with your first sentence, though, your examples just weren’t great 😁.

Dubai is not in Saudi Arabia.

This is exactly what I do and it’s never bothered me.

It was running in the US. The target demographic does not live in Canada.

Ah, yes. They must be cold warians.

The real problem is that it will be rebuilt and settled by Israel.

It’s not just Kimmel, there are a lot of staff that would lose their jobs on the show if he refused to return.
He actually did, he just didn’t wait to hear back that it was a terrible idea.
