We didn’t do nothing. We announced massive retaliatory tariffs. The do nothing impression came from the fact that they asked for concessions we already offered.
Also, the US is still hitting us with tariffs. Starting March 4, 25% on everything then in April an additional 25% on steel and aluminum.
Canada has higher standards, but not as high as they should be. To be clear, the food we sell locally will not necessarily meet EU standards (but most probably would anyway), but the food we sell to you must meet EU standards.

Do you know the food standards laws, or are you assuming? We are not the US, our laws are much stricter. As an example, I saw someone in the EU say Canada would never want your dairy laws because we would have to pasteurize our milk which would increase the price. Thing is… we do pasteurize our milk. That’s already a rule.
But that’s irrelevant anyway. Freetrade means free of duty or tariff, not free of regulations. Any Canadian goods (including food) sold in the EU, must meet EU standards.
So if your objection is legal criteria, there is no substance to your objection.
We already have a good deal. CETA just need to be taken advantage of

I agree, people should eat less meat. We often have meals in my house that don’t feature meat. But guess what, I think meat tastes better.
The best way to alienate people and turn them against your point of view is to be an insufferable twat.
That’s my answer too. I went a month with just trying to make basic things work. Had to go back to being productive. Now, I bought another drive and I spend time whenever I have it. Once everything works as i need it to, I’ll switch full time.

I switched to Tuxedo. It solved some weird stability issues I had, which were mostly monitor resolution and layout issues.
I’m new to the world of Linux as a main OS, and I ran Mint for a while, wanted to try KDE Plasma, installed and ran it on mint for a while and blew away mint for a distro with KDE Plasma once I knew it’s what I wanted.
