Install Fedora Server instead

I’m sure OP has enough machines to do both.

Why would you do that?
Aside from the fact there are so many package managers out there, don’t you want to start with something simpler?

Install Win7 to make retro gaming machine?

I used to live in an apartment on a busy street and befriend some of my neighbors. One day, we were helping some other friends of ours move in to a new home. They’re from a quieter part of the town.
They were absolutely baffled that we all just walked in and out of rooms slamming doors everytime.
What’s in our mind? Well, honestly, we just pay no mind. Where we lived, the background noise was just so loud that the sound of doors being slammed weren’t a bother.

Never heard of it, but can I drink it?
Hell yeah! Scratch that part about being dull and boring then!
Hopefully Linux Mint would focus on Debian instead of Ubuntu.
Despite all its shortcomings, I do believe Wayland is the future. Sooner or later, all the funky decorative quirks will be some relics of the past.
Maybe someday, they will be added back, and we’ll once again have that jelly window effect, but at the moment, people actually depend on this thing to do some work, even more true with the Windows exodus.
I’d rather that they focus at the risk of being dull rather than fumbling on this chance.
Yes, I know that popularity isn’t everything, but considering how big they (and GNOME) are, they can really make The Year of Linux Desktop™.

Couldn’t he still use Linux for his personal system?

I have to ask: what’s with all the obsession with immutable distro? As much as I’d like to try it myself, would you really recommend it to beginners over a more conventional distro like Mint?

No I don’t, but then again, you seem to be trying to spread awareness about this thing.

Yeah, that’s one way to do an elevator pitch!

Even the title says it’s webkit based

Linux & Windows came from a command-line history, so things like UAC are just a GUI version of sudo (and there is (was?) a Linux equivalent if you wanted it)
Can confirm that the GUI versions of sudo (and similar privilege escalation interface) exist on Linux, at least for KDE, in the form of kdesu.

Honestly, from my own experience, IA torrent trackers suck.
If you can’t even wrap your head around it, why are you using it for your server? Other FS have all the features you need without all the problems.

Would it be weird to say that I don’t feel anything about it at all?
Looks more like whatever repo you’re trying out is bugged.
