If people over 18 can buy it then that’s fine. I do think under 18 is too young for cigs. Way to ruin your lungs. Though I am wary of how totalitarian the UK is becoming especially for young people - no phones, no social media. Prohibition and banning people turns us into North Korea, China, and Russia. It’s a fine line to cross. However, we definitely do need tighter regulations for certain things. But I think the gov is diving in head first instead of finding a more nuanced approach with things. This feels more like it’s about control and policing society rather than making a healthy and happier society.

I did not say nuclear weapons. I said certain weapons. Obviously they are not the same thing but similar threat level.

America used certain weapons to stop WW2. (Edit: Though that’s an oversimplification and ignores the efforts of the other allies and battles of WW2) So it’s not only North Korean logic. Ironically, many Western countries also have Nukes and have not given them up. Nuclear Energy is a lot cleaner than fossil fuels as well though of course it is still very controversial and unpopular.

It was not the one last weekend but a different one. It did not have any Windows 11 notification. Though I am autistic so maybe I misread it or did not see it.

I foolishly allowed an update after a restart of Windows 10 and to my shock and horror, it installed Windows 11 without asking me or warning me. Not only that but everything on my desktop was gone, deleted, due to a corruption or something though I had no viruses. I managed to revert back to an old stage of Windows 10 and all my stuff was there. But that gave me quite the scare. I will not be updating to Windows 11 any time soon.
