The Z1 is likely a 7540U but the Z1 Extreme is definitely a 7840U. The thing is they’re likely binning a good portion of the 7840U chips and the ones that perform well at lower wattages get to become Z1s

It’s called the Z1 Extreme. They have absolutely come out with 7840U SKUs as well (the Z1 Extreme non binned)
