Its a shame we spend money on that, it tracks with Polands servitude in stuff like CIA torture sites. The logic here is simple tho. If you check Polish treaties before WW2, and their lack of effect while 6 million (~17%) Poles were murdered with near compleat destruction of the country followed by 60 years of de facto occupation there are strong incentives here to sign deals with any devil, if it rises the chances of that not being repeated.
