I have session restore but both at work and home I do this thing called tab nuking every day or so, where I just spam the X for the right most tabs until I can read the tab names again. Oh my god, I think I finally got your comment. You meant that the sentence “filtered it through” is incorrect for the intent of filtering something, the world “through” should be eliminated. Yes? Because filtering something through is letting it in little by little, while my intent was to say that the errors weren’t being let in since they were filtered subconsciously. That was what you meant?

Please do confirm if this was your original intent, I’m very confused. If it was low key damn you for not being more clear but also sorry for misunderstanding and making a mountain out of a molehill (I think I used this idiom correctly).

I did intend to say that I filtered the grammatical errors through, meaning that my brain was reading the pure meaning. You said that I allowed the errors through unfiltered, which is incorrect in my interpretation of the sentence since that would imply I would not be able to parse the meaning correctly, having to deal with grammar mistakes.

Think about it, if you try to eat a porridge with chunks, you need to do extra effort processing the chunks through, hey spend time with them. But if you filter the chunks through, you can process the porridge faster. So no, your correction is incorrect actually, I meant what I said.

It’s not that deep though, which is why I said that it really doesn’t matter how you want to describe it.

PD: Also, the way you formed that sentence is annoying. Why don’t you explain the difference yourself instead of expecting others to do all the legwork in a conversation? You ask if I recognise THE difference, but there are many differences between those sentences in a given context, it depends on how you interpret it. It’s low key rude.

Depends a lot on the game company though. Sometimes I am willing to pay for the convenience while ensuring that I fuck over the publisher/developer. Sometimes you want to play a game developed by a company you dislike.

You are in an Australian server, I didn’t know that the American AI Dev erasure craze had expanded there, it definitely is affective the Spanish junior positions, but in my data engineering sector, senior positions are permanently lacking.

In any case, I’m sorry for your friends, but I’d be surprised if they don’t find another job fast. Job offers in my country for senior positions have not been reduced, and given that junior positions are being reduced and seniors eventually retire, I don’t see enough reduction to fill the vacuum that the lack of junior is going to create in senior fields.

Mind you, I’m not saying this to say I don’t care, it’s actually the opposite. I’m saying this to say that I care even though I don’t think it will affect me personally in a risk my paycheck kinda way.

I’m frustrated with the fact that AI is replacing a lot of junior positions, and with people that use it to fully automate tasks. It does not bode well for the future of the industry.

I’m not a junior dev though, and I use AI as a tool, which is what it is, to plan changes, search for potential issues while I check something else, then review their output and so on. The premise is that I do understand our code very well, and that I know exactly what must be done when proposing changes. It helps me autocomplete while I write, check hard to find docs or write/format doc pages. I always search for actual real sources before committing anything.

It’s a tool, it would be crazy to keep using a hatchet because chainsaws sometimes injure people. With proper training and knowledge a chainsaw helps you work faster.

Now, there was no LLM when I was a junior Dev so I acknowledge that my position is a bit of “f u I got mine”, but we can’t deny that it’s a very useful tool that helps in coding

How is it even downloading that? Wouldn’t the sonarr quality profiles grab an actual video file? An exe has no resolution for instance.

Also in my case most video files are transpiled automatically so jellyfin has to work less when serving, so the transpiled would fail. Shit would never run unguarded.
