In some failed states it’s considerably easier to have certain people eliminated (and for sure has happened many many times).

Current USA is an internal affair with external effects. Other countries can’t do anything, that’s what happens when 1 country has the very biggest strongest military and security machine ever (way bigger than any competitor, no country get near). Even if they’ld want to, there is no way. And the current situation is unpredicatble and not stable, it would become even less predictable and less stable when certain people were to be assassinated.

If assassinations happen in the trump admin in the near future, I think it would more likely come from USA security services internally. Not sure if it’s for the better. Decent chance in that case of civil war type scenarios tbh.

Depends on numbers of simultaneous streaming capability you need i think. I recently bought a 50 € used esprimo “office computer” and it runs very well. I put a 50 € 1TB nvme SSD+ ~200 € 4TB external ssd and a 30 € wifi pci card and good to go, ± 330 € total… Used an old 1TB HDD i still had for back-up. It wouldn’t suffice for dozens of simultaneous streams with transcoding, but it runs my <5 users jellyfin+deluge+nextcloud very well.

I had a very similar experience with the ipod and avoid everything apple ever since.

ITunes did install on my windows laptop (wondering why i had to do that tho, why couldn’t i just drag my mp3’s to the device folder??), but it was still an instant locked-in experience. Whatever went into iTunes/ipod seemed near impossible to get back out. Mp3 in, gibberish out. Encoded to some apple © tm format, lost into the void. Coming from a normal mp3-player that was very unexpected and unpleasant.

The only thing I liked about it was the (hardware) wheel.

German homes are relatively okay insulated. Very remote: burn wood or some sort of wood pellet stuff. Not clean, but it is local and renewable. Less remote: heat pumps, runs on electricity. Cities: many are planning/extending heat nets, those can be partially powered by left over heat from industry. And import nuclear electricity from France in winter I guess!
