I’m just shy of 40 and haven’t been athletic in 5 years and the way I used to practice got me injured a lot. We took the “blossfechten” too seriously.

What styles do your practice in hema?
I’m trying to get myself to get back in.

Edit: also I got super into Arduino for like 2 weeks. My house is covered in electronic bits that I don’t understand, and I’ll be damned if I can watch the udemy course

It has helped me mentally to understand. Medicine doesn’t do much except allow me to get things I just fucking don’t care about, done at work.

If I want to be able to enjoy things in my free time I’ll have to be up all night, or drink myself asleep.

Guitar pedals are extremely simple to breadboard if you know electronics. Drive is “just” one or many transistors amplifying the signal out of the guitar. I haven’t looked at what delay would take

I can make a circuit work sometimes but I don’t have the knowledge to debug my errors.

Delay looks hard. I’m starting to play with digital pedal stuff and that is just software, so I may try that instead.

Haha so far I haven’t met another guitarist building pedals so I’m in the clear. When I do I’ma have to shift the conversation to software lol. Or learn from them.

I’ve been paying for a guitar teacher for 3 years. Some weeks I only touch it in class, but it has been the only consistent hobby I have ever had. My desk is currently littered by 5 different microcontrollers, 3 single board computers and 2 mesh radios. I barely ever touched any of them

I don’t know if it’s strictly ADHD but my brain can’t relax at all if I have pending appointments. At least if I remember them.

Hard same. I want my meds to make me happy, not give all my good hours to a job. But if you miss time it, or even your fucking body decides to be super susceptible to the meds that day, you are up all night
