(All that reconstruction money is going to get eaten up in graft by trump allies) And If they refuse, trump drops the tough on Netanyahu act, blames everything on hamas for refusing to negotiate, peace talks and ceasefire over, and the killing starts again in earnest, now with no fear of hitting Israeli hostages.

Tldr, the anger with bibi was fake- and hamas bought it. They did the half of the deal (hostage swap) without getting any guarantee in return, and now trump will push them until he has ‘no choice’ but to go back to full throated backing of israel’s total war.
