and I know that no company ever advises you to do something that’s in your own best interest.
Why do they warn against phising, why do they give you the option to recover your account, why do they try to prevent scams?

Its google, they can already stop you from using their services on OS they dont like
They already do that

If at this point every major codebase is using AI for development, and AI is unavoidable, might as well embrace it on your own terms.
Why? People use linux even though windows seems unavoidable, people use privacy respecting messaging services when everyone says to contact them on whatsapp, so many people use reddit, barely anybody uses lemmy
If you cant completely avoid something, should you just give up on trying at all?
Why are people giving something that is ruining the internet, politics, learning, the environment, jobs, art, mental health so much leniency

It still supports the person and gives them a platform to share their ideas

Did you read the last sentence?
I dont think adding randomness to chess is the best idea
I dont understand how people can put something really sweet on something sweet and eat it

But there are ways to catch AI use

I disagree. For one, it’s unenforceable, just like outright banning it.
If people thought “its impossible to catch everyone so why bother trying to catch anyone at all” when making laws, no laws would exist

I may have just had ridiculous luck to avoid all bugs on both linux and windows
Most of the bugs i have seen on linux were actually from a friend i convinced to move to linux

Are you sure it would be less bugs? I havent been using windows for like 2-3 years, but it cant have gotten that bad, right?

Why support epic games when itch.io exists? The platform asks you how much of your profit you want to give it (it does have a heart that turns gray if you choose 0% though). It doesnt have many of the most popular indie games, but it seems like the best option if available

You could already play minecraft bedrock edition on linux though
Im pretty sure by “more people”, this post is referring to percentages. I have seen a version of this that uses statistics for regret rates for tattoos and for transitioning if i remember correctly

Most of my friends have either switched to linux or have said they will have to in the future
Its impressive how good microsoft is at getting people not want to use their os

When i used chachyos, i had stuttering issues with some games that were not present on other distros
I was trying to say that linux is already faster than windows, you dont need a distro that advertises itself as fast to achieve that, and that stuttering issues that are hardware specific should not be included when considering performance

The stutters are caused by an issue that can be resolved and depend on hardware, not actual performance issues
These can happen on windows too
Doesnt that apply to computers?
