  • I don’t know why you’re getting pushback and downvotes on this, it’s factual.

Have we ALSO lost track of facts people? Are we the same as the ones who made this all go to shit, unable to separate facts from feelings? USA isn’t just “a superpower” it’s THE superpower, it’s the wealthiest nation on earth with a military force larger and more advanced than all other nations put together. What do you call that?

THIS is why it’s such a huge deal that we all fucking let the dumbest, evilest people in the world take the controls. Are you really just so nihilistic and self-obsessed that you’re willing to discard the largest and most powerful democracy on earth because you feel jaded and cynical because “America bad?”

Dude, clean your room. Seriously, this is our home, this is where we live. LETS FIX IT.

  • I am also in the US and horribly disappointed in how our population let the world’s stupidest and vilest people manipulate them into giving over control. I really had high hopes for America, democracies are really our best hope for the future.

But now I just want it to accelerate, we need the shit to really hit the fan so our population wakes up and realizes who the real enemies are, the putins and musks and trumps and millers and bannons… they are the beasts that stalk us in the modern age and need to be put down or taken away and the only way this will happen is enough people become uncomfortable enough that they forget the narratives and storylines that manipulate us so easily.

  • but since the pole still won’t fit it either punches holes in the barn or shatters.

Latest research is suggesting that the observer from the pole’s perspective sees the far door open before the near door, basically reversing the order of events. (Assuming the barn doors close briefly around to contain the pole, and then open again to let it through. The Barn sees the entire pole momentarily inside the barn with both doors closed, the pole sees itself enter the short barn, the far door closes briefly and then opens letting the front of the pole through, then the back door closes and opens as it passes through. IE: order of events can be recorded differently for each observer without breaking causality.)

You also cannot choose the spins of entangled particles, they collapse randomly in either direction when interacted with, meaning you cannot send messages. If you can figure out how to directly influence the spin of generated subatomic particles then BAM you have FTL communication.

But you would be amazed how many obstacles the universe throws in front of you when you try to break the speed of causality. Faster than light communication isn’t possible because it makes no sense when you understand it. It’s like “getting answers faster than questions.” It’s nonsense.

  • Also, it’s pretty wild that absolutely zero effort has been made “correcting” all the actual card-carrying nazis who celebrate every major action that Musk makes, from restoring their accounts on social media to boosting their memes and messages for years now. There’s clips out there of people with swastika tattoos sieg-heiling recordings of Musk’s “awkward gesture” and they look exactly the same.

Tell us again how we shouldn’t trust our own eyes. I think there was a book somewhere that talked about this. I’d recommend looking into it.

  • this and other organizations concluded that he didn’t perform a nazi salute

If someone takes a shit in your mouth and tells you it was a birthday cake, will you trust them just because they’re an “organization?” Jesus christ and you people call others “cucks” it drives me batty but you long since abandoned value to intellectual consistency when you started hoisting madmen and wealthy landlords as somehow better than other people.

It’s amazing for a group that says all day long that they’re “free thinkers” there sure are a lot of people with mouths full of shit smiling because they’ve been told it’s birthday cake and they’re such special, good boys.

  • The way many Asian countries view relationships between parents, offspring, and social status is very, very different than what we’re used to in the West, and while it’s all just more social constructs and norms being maintained like we know here, the similarities end there.

It would take a long to really explain, and several dozen people would chime in to say how their own family and upbringing was different, so it’s not really something you can “teach” but it’s worth pointing out that our normal lense in which we view family is not going to make sense looking at some families in other areas.

  • Why are WE the ones afraid of consequences? Why should the so-called “mightiest nation on Earth” be the one that cowers whenever someone makes nuclear threats? Didn’t we used to lead the world in creating fear of our military and our nuclear weapons?

I don’t get how the right in particular treats the USA like a mighty jugger- nah I can’t even frame my rhetorical thought, we all know that Russia is deeply involved in shaping the opinions and attitudes of our country’s dumbest fuckwads.

  • Yep. I’ve had substance abuse problems and severe depression my whole life. I’ve had people telling me I have “genius” intelligence but I can’t do some of the most basic tasks like paying bills and managing finances and making any plans for my future whatsoever.

But I know quantum physics! Lots of use for that shit, right?? I can’t count the number of job interviews where the hiring manager asked me about interactions between quarks and the strong nuclear force.

As an aside my therapist just diagnosed me as autistic, as a middle-aged man that’s a whole basket of cats I don’t know what to do with yet.

My whole office went to WFH as soon as the pandemic started, the plan was to move back to the physical office as soon as possible, but there was so much resistance in the company that eventually the owners sold off the building and we never went back.

As for productivity, I was in charge of transitioning my team and ensuring they weren’t slacking. I had the exact opposite problem with 9/10 out of them, mostly everyone was working too late and putting in time off the clock just because they were bored. We ran out of work to do every week and started taking on new tasks for other teams.

Except Terry, he got a second job and tried to work both at the same time. He never appeared on camera in our meetings because he was at his other employer. It took me a bit to figure out something was off, when I confronted him he abruptly quit. He was a sour and deeply repressed dude and after he left everyone celebrated.

  • The biggest reason for declining marriages is that people can actually make choices now and people don’t want to be shackled to someone they hate their whole lives.

People had radically different attitudes about marriage in olden times, when marriage equaled survival in many ways, and survival of your family, your connections, your career and your status, which was held through generations. It wasn’t thought of normally in terms of love and that’s a very modern view of marriage.

Romance and marriage for love certainly existed, but that was usually considered fantasy or stageplay.
