  • I monitor the cat shelter website for cats I like (I can’t get anymore I have two already. I just like looking at cats). Anyway, I saw one cat as returned for being “too affectionate”. 1) too affectionate? What the fuck is that??? 2) I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Affectionate cats are great.

I mean, they’re not furniture. they’re living beings with needs and emotions. You can’t get a companion animal and expect them to just sit there and do nothing all day. they need affection and attention. If you just want a cat to sit there and do nothing, get a fucking statue.

My latest rescue came from his third stint in the shelter. I have no clue why. he’s a great little guy.

  • yup. there’s no rush to introduce them. if it takes a week or a year, it’s fine. I don’t do much with my time, so neither is being left out in terms of attention. and yeah, I already have been using the same brush and I have also been rubbing blankets on each of them then putting them next to the other. Though, it seems like toby is perfectly fine with other cats. He wants to get into the room with my elderly girl to meet, but it’s too early yet. Feliway is a good option. I will check it out
