If I ask you can a car fly? You might say well if you put wings on it or a rocket engine or something, maybe? OK, I say, so I point at a car on the street and ask: Do you think that specific car can fly? You will probably say no.
Why? Even though you might not fully understand how a car works and all the parts that go into it, you can easily tell it does not have any of the things it needs to fly.
It’s the same with an LLM. We know what kinds of things are needed for true intelligence and we can easily tell the LLM does not have the parts required. So an LLM alone can never ever lead to AGI, more parts are needed. Even though we might not fully understand how the internals of an LLM function in specific cases and might also not know what parts exactly are needed for intelligence or how those work.
A full understanding of all parts isn’t required to discern large scale capabilities.

All of the recommendations YouTube ever makes for me are terrible. If I watch 4 videos in a row, without fail the first recommendation will be to watch one of the videos I just watched again. Yes YouTube, this video is perfect for me, THAT’S WHY I FUCKING WATCHED IT ALREADY!
The one we used to have for our cats would make a little jingle before dispensing the food. Whenever that jingle went off the cats came RUNNING!

The one in the back is already sleeping. The one in the front on the left is sleepy but down for some wrestling in between. The one on the right can’t sleep till he gets the mischievous demons out of his system.

You are going to need to run a rescue system to get this sorted, for example from an USB stick. Usually you can enter UEFI setup by just spamming the button on boot (F2, F12, F10, Del, look up what your system uses). If that doesn’t work you can either reset the BIOS settings, using the jumper or button (see manual again, removing the battery is internet lore and almost never required, just use the jumper). Another option is to remove your boot drive, that will prevent fastboot from working, so the next boot will be a regular one.
