I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from “YouShouldKnow” for saying I need more proof of Israeli’s genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I’m being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

  • Huh? I’m talking about killing Putin. I’m not sure if you meant to reply to someone else, but you’re speaking of war itself, not why Ukraine just doesn’t finally kill Putin or why Russia doesn’t level presidential palace. Reminder that Russia still has plenty of ballistic missiles, drones so many they can easily overwhelm air defenses, etc. They really should not have a problem to strike a building.

    I’m not denying that Russia is losing or Ukrainian intelligence is wrecking havoc, that was never the question.

  • To understand the problem, I welcome you to try out Chinese models versus US models and ask them to criticize Trump and then criticize Xi.

    This point from the article is very valid and proveable right now.

    In China, there is no delineation between private enterprise and state security. The National Intelligence Law of 2017 mandates that all Chinese organizations and citizens must “support, assist, and cooperate with national intelligence efforts.” Therefore, any Chinese AI startup, no matter how independently it markets itself, is ultimately subject to CCP directives. The risk is not in the visible code, but in the invisible training data, the alignment protocols, and the potential for future remote manipulation or data harvesting via associated cloud services

    Are we sure we want AI models from authoritarian countries, especially when that country is aligned with BRICS and actively assists countries like Russia in their efforts against Europe, US, etc (especially training of Russian troops which are then sent to invade European country). You could argue US is a hellhole too, but I strongly believe only very temporary. I don’t see China changing anytime soon.

    EDIT: Here are some keywords to use with Chinese LLM models. Good luck making an equalivent for ChatGPT or whatever;
