True, true. They did get all the benefits of public infrastructure though, they just don’t want to help pay to maintain it.
American Libertarianism is all about minimizing governmental oversight, regulation, and taxation. Basically people who already “got theirs” and want to pull the ladder up behind them so no one else can. Sovcits are like extremist libertarians.
They just asked what they could do to help be an ally, but it turns out the post OP is just a concern troll and doesn’t actually give a shit about allyship.
especially after they’ve shown zero initiative or interests in educating themselves.
That’s literally what they’re trying to do right here and now and your spitting in their faces. Maybe don’t post memes about how to be an ally if you don’t want to actually help anyone be an ally, it’s more counterproductive to your cause than the apathetic allies you’re bemoaning.
You affected my life by causing me to write this stupid comment proving your even stupider comment wrong. And now I’ve affected your life, because you’ve been confronted with your own faulty logic, and even if you don’t respond, you still thought about it and you can never not have.
There’s only one “one” in the diagram, so I’m gonna say the one marked “1.” Pretty easy.
No, the “FORCED” is sarcastic, I think the point is that the hypothetical TERF doesn’t have to look at all, but she chooses to, so she can be more outraged. It’s not a profound masterpiece, but it’s not completely inane.
Again, just describing my understanding of reality, sorry it triggered you.
“It serves a need”
I clearly don’t believe that religion is a “need”
Now I don’t trust your definition of “need” or of “clearly”. What other words do you define in diametric opposition to their intended meaning?
People need oxygen, breathing serves that need. People need various organic compounds for energy, eating serves that need. People want to not be afraid of the void, religion serves that want. No one needs religion and it doesn’t “serve” a need, just a desire…🤷♂️ I’m sorry me simply restating my point triggers you so badly, just keep in mind that you’re not going to get anywhere screaming that religion serves needs.
Nobody said it was.
Well that’s just not true, but ignoring that…
I didn’t scream anything, neither did the OP that started this. They stated it calmly and plainly. Obviously religion serves a function in society, but so does slavery. I’m not trying to convince anyone to give up their long-held beliefs, I’m simply defending my interpretation of reality as objectively as I can. Just like coffee, alcohol, and black market sex rings, no one needs religion. The only reason I could think of that you would want to argue against that position is if you believed it wasn’t true. But it is. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
But other things can and do too, so religion isn’t necessary. That’s the point.
I didn’t call anyone an idiot, I just made the point that something being popular in society doesn’t even make it good for society, much less necessary. Just look at fentanyl, or network primetime television.
Painting baby toys with lead was pretty popular for awhile, so was filling your house with asbestos. Don’t confuse popularity with necessity, you might get cancer.
Not NSFW, domain’s for sale!
This meme doesn’t make sense to me, shouldn’t “my plans” be above the guy in the apron and the years be above the bearded guy? That’s presuming the intent was to say the plans were fucked up by the events of those years. In which case, the first panel is meaningless.
If it’s not elephant garlic, it’s probably nasty inside. I’ve found that big produce is usually over-ripe/rotten.
Yeah, I have to be facing him to start, but he often ends up behind me at some point in the night.
It’s a lot crunchier than liquid, but ideally no, not very.
I’m still waiting for them to stop celebrating birthdays.
