Somewhere there’s a line in propaganda playbook that says to blame everything on the left. Has to be. At this point so there’s been many random comments attempting to “ackshually the left”. Probably the the cover of such a thing is titled Flooding the Zone or something.

The era of Pax Americana is over. There is a global realignment underway. The future is more uncertain than any of us have known in our lifetime.

For a while there was an idea that globalization would elevate the world. This post war era was the first part of our lives. It turns out America and Europe decided it isn’t acceptable when the world actually started having it good. So now we have to burn it all down and enter a phase of heightened global conflict. We’ll kill each other until we’re tired of that. Then maybe there will be another period of relative peace. Seems to be the nature of humanity.

Whenever all this ends in half a century or whatever. There should probably be some kind of more generalized non-proliferation pact. To prevent a single nation from leap frogging every other by multiple factors.

It’s a rogue state at this point. The most powerful one on earth. Who could stop them even if they wanted to.

Will there ever be an app ecosystem for Linux phones. I don’t see how could happen. I’m talking actual apps like banking or payment systems. Institutional software such as government apps that requires a stable platform. Not a janky Linux system that is prone to breakage every few updates or scatter across different distros. Seems like the year of the linux desktop meme could end up morphing into the year of the linux phone.

You can’t post about JD Vance because that bloated face meme hurt his feelings. I’m sure any human rights groups worth their salt have had plenty to say about the US. They’ve been disappearing Muslims to black sites for decades. That among the litany of ways minorities are targeted. So what’s your point? That you’re so deep in American propaganda that you thought you had a point?

Marc Maron is the person who people think the lot of these guys like Burr are. His comedy/commentary is earnest. He has conviction. People like Burr are performative commentary. They go back to the dressing room to wash off the clown makeup so they can go back to being their private self. They don’t give a shit about the things the say into the mic.

This kind of thing is real. Newbies don’t have experience to know how important architecture is. They continuously mash code without thinking too much. Generative machines have made the problem orders of magnitude worse. It used to be limited to the amount of garbage a human could mash into their keyboard. Now it’s like generated art. People churn out infinite images. They haven’t actually drawn the image themselves.
