  • This is hard to read as a Frenchman. Opening a wine bottle is a basic life skill you learn as a child there, and a Swiss army knife corkscrew is a fine tool to get that job done easily. I can also get the job done with just a shoe (like a sneaker) if needed (except I’ve stopped drinking). I get it, it’s our speciality, but still it’s strange to read about not being able to get it done with a Swiss army knife, no diss intended!

  • Definitely not perfect but just the fact he’s giving all this effort while on the way out shows you his character, so yeah even if I don’t agree with him on many things I at least respect him as a politician (as much as I can respect any politician especially when they don’t have my views at all).

I feel similar about Mark Rutte, ex prime minister of the Netherlands and now secretary general of NATO, the guy is a cold ass conservative but god damn it’s incomparable with the likes of trump.

Not necessarily it just means you need to weigh your main ingredients. I never said it was gonna be a walk in the park and that you can lose the weight without making any effort or adjustments to your diet and way of cooking, obviously the counting is just a tool to understand and visualise your calorie intake, it’s still up to you to adapt what you cook and eat.

  • Highjacking for actual advice: instead of going on a diet, just start counting your calories using an app and analyse the stuff you eat and drink, then start making adjustments and looking for foods you like but let you hit the right amount of calories as well as a good ratio of carbs, protein and fat. This will be much more efficient and easier to maintain long term, and once you’ve done it for a while and reached stable target weight you can stop counting and just keep eating the same way.

  • Ergonomic editing/workstation with screens wrapping on that sloped part and reclining chair under it, colour calibrated etc. Sound-wise this would suck and it would mean sacrificing having monitors for headphones but could work as a secondary home station if you have a larger space where you can bring collaborators etc at the studio for example and you use this at home.
