That’s a fair cop, but historically the Nazis of yesteryear were actually a lot more disorganized and stupid than we give them credit for, too. I mean, the entire “Master Race” thing is rooted in a deep misunderstanding about how genetics and evolution works on a functional level. Like, it’s literally a stupid position to have if you understand actual genetics. They were very stupid in other areas as well.
It would appear this is something they may have argued about a little at the Wannsee Conference…

Just like I wouldn’t be able to blame any Canadian for hating every US soldier if the US were to invade Canada.
I personally feel bad for every person involved in something as horrible as fighting in a war. I wish their hearts, brains, and energies could instead be employed in something peaceful, helpful, and beneficial for the future.
I think the implicit assumption is if they didn’t take the offer (“easy way”), they’d then get the “hard way,” in which the US receives the same end result, but no one in Greenland gets the million. It churns the bile in my guts that anyone on earth is even having this discussion with a modicum of seriousness. Greenland is for Greenlanders.
