802.11ac will hit 600-800Mbps easily, and those APs are dirt cheap since it’s old tech.

That PC can stream anything basically, it sounds like your browser isn’t properly using hardware acceleration maybe.
5TB for $10/mo is very cheap, I don’t know of anywhere else that comes close right now. Hetzner storage box is $13/mo for 5TB so that’s probably the closest thing.
If you’re using under 2TB then their E2 service or Backblaze B2 might be good options, but you have to manage your own backup software.
Are you talking about iDrive E2 maybe? OP is talking about iDrive backup itself.
$10/mo for 5TB is pretty much the cheapest option there is right now.
It’s a bunch of self hosted home services on a raspberry pi…
Yeah sometimes, mostly I just like having a page where I can place things wherever I want, like tables, CSV files, PDFs, images, etc.
TBH I’m still using Onenote, I haven’t found a good replacement for it.
Have backups, follow the 3-2-1 rule.
All drives fail, at any time, and you will eventually lose data if you don’t have good backups in place.
Hibernate is even better with a fast SSD.
With several comments now showing surprise about this, is sleep mode or hibernation not common knowledge?? Windows and every Linux distro I’ve tried has sleep mode enabled by default.
Most people use sleep or hibernate, still uses very little power (none in hibernate) but you don’t have to open all your stuff every time.
Since you’re using a non-standard HTTPS port, check your browser network log in dev tools and make sure your app isn’t redirecting you to the standard port 443. With non-standard ports you often will need to customize the config of apps so they know what you’re using.
Maybe your ISP has you on CGNAT? If your public IP is between 100.64.0.0 and 100.127.255.255
you’re on CGNAT.
Do you use ZFS? It uses half your RAM for cache by default, which matches with 2GB used by user apps + 16GB = 18GB total.
It is, I’ve been auto updating it for almost 2 years. Just needs a quick fix every now and then.
Obviously make sure your backups are working properly.
They have full access to the hardware, everything on it, and all traffic going to/from it. So you need to trust the provider you use somewhat.
If you just want privacy from the usual online services by running some of your own stuff, then that’s totally fine.
Its pretty likely to be the case, using tor makes you stand out significantly.
Oh yeah I guess it could just only show them on old edits.
They want to know if you seed well or not, and probably which trackers you use in case some are (more) questionable legal content.
