Add migraine aura to that list. It sucks.
Depends on the part of the world you live in. I’m that age and coworkers (!) constantly joke about having to find me a wife and find it a bit odd that I’m not even in a long-time relationship yet.
I had this colleague a few years back who was 28-29 at the time, and people were bad-mouthing him because he wasn’t married, saying that something must be wrong with him. Societal pressure is very strong here.
You wouldn’t believe this is happening in the EU, right?
It sucks. As a dude, I feel it’s almost impossible to balance being confident and approaching women you don’t know and also not being a creep or bothering them. I’m not the best but not the worst when it comes to looks, I have many friends of different genders (shoutout to my enby fellows who have to deal with this mess and also discrimination) and I’m confident in most things I do aside from dating. It’s gotten to the point I just won’t ask women out due to anxiety over coming across as a creep or bothering them, and instead endure loneliness. Which is not great, but it is what it is.
A tad perplexing.
Who would have thought that relying on fossil fuel from a country invading the middleman between you is a bad idea? I’m shocked!
To be fair, I only joined .ml because .world wasn’t a thing when I joined and srlpnk and a few others had closed registrations at that time
I usually browse by all, but you’re right, I’ve seen people defending them. Though thinking they would be saints if they had the power is insane to me.
Hexbear and Lemmygrad though, have incredibly weird takes to me, especially on Ukraine.
Wait, people actually think Russia or China would be any different of they had the US’ influence? That’s crazy. It’s like folks never heard that quote that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Any country that ends up with that amount of influence will inevitably resort to bs to maintain that power, even if it was a harmless, pacifistic country like Switzerland.
I think that’s a mindset issue. If you come at it with “I won’t be able to learn this, I’m too stupid”, you won’t give it your all and you will self sabotage. Besides, nobody is just stupid. You aren’t stupud either! Read up on intelligence types and you will certainly feel like one of those is yours, even if it’s not academic intelligence. Don’t give up!
Electronics in Eastern Europe are generally more expensive than Western Europe or the USA since the supply chains are longer. You can find stuff in Germany at 60-80% of what it costs in my country, but your price is outrageous and most likely some sort of scam
Same, and it’s honestly a little refreshing
Epicureanism teaches that you will never have enough money, enough fame, enough influence, so chasing after those will never make you happy. Instead, you should focus on fulfilling your needs and fixing problems in your life, getting enough to eat, enough sleep, surrounding yourself with friends and enjoying the small things in life. When you’re unburdened by needs, you reach long-lasting happiness.
So to me, that means earning enough to fulfill your needs is enough, especially if you don’t have to worry about losing your job any time soon
I think many people say stuff like that, and indeed they would for a few months, but after a while people would look for stuff to do, and they tend to turn towards volunteering. That fulfills both daily structure and socialization. Do you think that’s something you would eventually do in that case as well?
Yup, it is. Unfortunately, I had to endure that for close to a year (I will be assigned somewhere else this summer) and me and my colleagues had to carpool. Public transport would have been the best, but for that route the bus only goes twice a day.
Nevertheless, e-bikes are great if your commute isn’t that long!
While an amazing option for city commutes, mine is close to 100km daily. I have no idea if it’s possible to use an e-bike for that, but it would certainly take up even more of my limited free time to do so.
Fută-te-ar Stalin
Pronounced: Foot-uh-tea-are Stalin
Congrats! You can swear in Romanian now!
“I piss in your mother’s death”
Alternatively, “May Stalin fuck you”
And yes, I live in Eastern Europe.
Europe is facing population decline. Houses should get cheaper, not more expensive, and the fact that prices keep rising means that they are artificially inflated.
