The way I learned and internalized English, was through programming and a vocabulary trainer/flash cards at around 11 years old. So my advice would be: find something they find interesting and provide them with mostly English resources to learn that interesting thing, while also starting to learn basic vocabulary through flash cards.
I went through the effort to guide some people (mostly my family n≈10) through distrochooser, but in the end most of them chose Linux Mint and two wanted to go with endeavour for gaming, but I installed base arch on it and we designed their basic workflows together. For now everyone is happy.
True, but i had similar problems in the past. I had 32GB RAM and when suspending it took years to boot and one day it didn’t boot at all. A second hard drive with 50GB swap solved that problem for me.
Are you using swap? If yes how much? It is recommended to use 1.5x your installed RAM if you want to use hibernation or suspension.
Just install her favourite browser, chromium, Firefox, whatever. Set it as default and then create desktop links to her favourite streaming services. How to do that can be found here. You can also change the Icon to the specific logo by downloading it and change the line with ‘icon’ to a file path.

Wenn du wirklich nur doppelte Buchführung brauchst, schau mal GNUBargeld (GNUCash) an, das haben meine Partnerin und ich relativ lange privat im Gebrauch gehabt um unsere gemeinsamen Lebenshaltungskosten zu verfolgen. Sind aber vor 3-4 Jahren erst auf TatsächlichHaushalt (ActualBudget) und dann auf Feuerfliege drei (FireflyIII) umgestiegen. Sind alle drei valide Lösungen welche auch am Standort laufen kann. Rechnungsninja hatte ich in einem anderen Kommentar schon erwähnt und könnte eventuell auch für deinen Anwendungsfall interessant sein.
Ja vor allem mit deren Schwenk auf Wolken Technologie. Dort wird halt nicht mehr pro Verbindung sondern per Nachricht abgerechnet. Das zerfickt einfach meinen mittelständischen Arbeitgeber :/
Alsooooo ich selber arbeite Arbeitstechnisch mit SAP und somit SAP PO bzw. BTP damit kann man die Formate relativ einfach konfigurieren.
Privat mache ich auch noch Integrationsberatung für kleine Firmen (3-20 Personen). In diesem Umfeld habe ich sehr gute Erfahrungen mit FOSS Lösungen gemacht. Namentlich InvoiceNinja für die ganz kleinen Buden, die wirklich nur Rechnungen schreiben müssen und ERP5 sowie ERPNext für die Buden die auch ein bisschen mit ihren Ressourcen im voraus planen müssen.

Weil wenn die Antwort teuer und große Einbrüche der Konzentration sind, ist es vielleicht eine Überlegung wert noch zu warten :l

And don’t even start with the “but health!” cope. 90% of y’all cooking at home aren’t making quinoa bowls and wild-caught salmon. Time is the only real flex. You get more of it by buying it back. If that costs $12 for takeout, that’s a steal. If you’re in any field where leverage matters — tech, finance, creative — and you’re still cooking every meal from scratch like it’s 1947, you’re not serious.

Es ist Bogen mit allen Nachteilen und ohne alle Vorteile. Ich habe es früher auch lange Zeit genutzt, aber da die immer hinter dem Veröffentlichungszyklus herhinken, teilweise ihre Schlüssel ablaufen lassen und mir so mehrmals meinen Rechenknecht zerschossen haben, bin ich auf Bogen umgestiegen. Dank unserem lieben Stephan Raabe und seinem Projekt Mein Linux vier die Arbeit (ML4W), hatte ich auch schnell eine gut aussehende und funktionale Arbeitsumgebung (y)
