Then you’re not understanding what NPR is at all. NPR is a non-profit radio station that provides free access to news, music, and programming over the radio and through TV and internet channels. Whatever NPR makes in revenue is through donations. Of course their budget is separate from their revenue. You have to have a budget at all to produce revenue.

What this is saying is that NPR spends 100x more than the government will give them to provide a literal free service to the citizens of the USA. NOR is practically self-sufficient while SpaceX is a for profit corporation whose bigger client is the federal government. If either of these organizations are a leech, it’s certainly not NPR. One of them needs the money to survive.

I feel like a good countermeasure to tariffs would be to implement export tariffs. I’m not an economist but if you tax your own businesses exporting to the US and there are import fees on the other end as well, the importer gets absolutely screwed and will have to pass that along to the customer as well. Meaning a 25% tariff in the US could effectively be whatever price Canada wants it to be for the end consumer. Effectively turn the carrot into a stick.

There is not much we can do about it at this point. The citizens have made their choice. And the ones that made the choice are the ones with the most guns.

It’s good to point out that amphetamines are not the only treatment for ADHD nor are they always the best treatment. In fact Methylphenidate (Ritalin) is a Norepinephrine-Domamine Reuptake Inhibitor, which while still having dopaminergic effects on the brain, are not amphetamines and can’t really even be detected through traditional urinalysis means.

So those of us who do take Methylphenidate and are subject to regular urinalysis to measure amphetamine content as a requirement to obtain a prescription renewal for the drug in the US, are actually being tested for additional non-perscription use of amphetamines unrelated to our ADHD treatment. I feel this should be illegal and that Methylphenidate should really be removed from the list of controlled substances.

I have always felt that feminism has had a marketing problem. I consider myself a feminist and I am for equal rights for all. But the issue with feminism is that it’s easy to point to the word and use it to propagandize a people against it. The word evokes a priority towards women (which I believe it should), but that makes folks feel like there are people out to be against them which is not what the movement is about.

And then you have the people who claim to be feminist who are really just misandrists who want to see men broght down to achieve equality or who want to see women be valued higher than men. In reality, the way forward should be to lift women up to the level that society holds men. It shouldn’t be a battle of sexes.

Feminism also (in name only) sorta precludes anyone who isn’t female. So non-binary? Get fucked I guess? I think there really ought to be a better way to market an equality movement than labelling it for women, even if that is the primary target of increasing equality.

It would be like calling a racial equality movement blackism and then saying you represent all race’s equality. That specifically disregards all races not considered black from a marketing perspective, even if your movement’s actions are positive representation for all races.

It’s not that I can’t journal, it’s that journaling isn’t part of my routine. And introducing new things into my routine is a Herculean feat. My doctor recently added a medication that I’m supposed to only take while I’m eating dinner… After 20 years of taking all my daily meds in the morning while I brush my teeth… I can tell you I’m missing at least half my doses.

1. The company makes the rules under which you are employed. If you don’t like it, legislate against it or find another employer. Also, like I said, there are no 3rd party authenticators that are more secure with entra ID.

2. Like I said, M$ auth literally does not report location while authenticating. It only pulls location requests when signing in through the app to create the authentication token and even then it is not a requirement. Entra pulls location using your IP address on the device you are signing in with.

It is using windows hello on compatible machines and through persistent tokens on Mac and Windows machines not compatible with hello. You have to create that token with a known factor such as a mobile device but outside of that, users almost never have to sign in with persistent tokens.

Ms auth is a mobile only application. Not even available on windows or macOS. The point of it is to provide a second factor of authentication in the for of “something you have”. There are a few factors that can be used for authentication. Something you know (password), something you have (hardware like a key or a phone), and something you are (iris scan, DNA, fingerprint, other biometric). Ms auth uses something you have and something you are to authenticate most users. You provide a password and then you prove you have your cellphone and your cellphone checks your biometrics to see if you are you. In that way, it is effectively checking all 3 factors.

1. It doesn’t change anything for the company with exception to billable IT time used when the authenticator confuses users which is already high with only one authenticator.

2. It doesn’t report location, Entra login reports location regardless of authentication method used.
