not sure if it helps you, but i find it easiest to clean when there are few items in the sink.

a mug and a spoon? heck yeah, i’m cleaning that shit. three plates, six bowls, six pairs of chopsticks, two knives, two pans, and a cutting board? fuck that shit i’m gonna go watch a movie.

sure it’s less efficient, but if you clean one or two things in between tasks while you cook, you’ll be surprised at how much washing up you get done during your usual “waiting time” by the time you’re finished making dinner.

yes, and i even got enrolled (unwillingly) into water polo courses by my older sisters. understandably, the coach hated me because i was overweight and a slow swimmer.

there was a bit of inappropriate verbal harassment from the older members of the water polo team. after that, i got self-conscious and eventually stopped swimming.

    maybe i’ll try swimming again.

  • the “best” format for everyday use is each individual person’s personal preference.

you may be more used to DDMMYYYY due to culture, language, upbringing, and usage. in the same vein, i am more used to YYYYMMDD because in chinese we go 年月日 (year-month-day), and it makes organizing files and spreadsheet entries much more intuitive anyways.

  • just nitpicking, but technically ISO 8601 does not (currently) permit the omission of the year.

if information is to be omitted, it must be done in ascending order of significance, so you can omit, in order, seconds, minutes, hours, and days.

(if you omit the month, that’s just the year left so why bother with ISO 8601 lmao)

  • 1-26 or 01/26 is a way of writing the month and day. in this particular example, it is describing the 26th day of January, or January 26. the year is omitted in this instance because, in this context, it is a way of demonstrating how a month and day can still be conveyed in order of significance without fully adhering to ISO 8601 guidelines.

  • at some point, you gotta throw in the towel and let her use one password for everything. not ideal at all, sure, but it’s not the end of the world as long as it’s complex enough.

or get her a notebook, or a note-taking app, and jot down all the passwords for every account (not the generated ones from the password manager; too complex).

if your issues are more of the “help me, now!!” variety and you want to keep her off your back, tell her that you’re busy and can help in ten minutes or an hour or at some scheduled time. if her stuff is urgent, too bad, your work is too. show her that you’re not at her beck and call, and then help her at that scheduled time; you’d be surprised at how fast the problems reside.
